Here For Your Future

Imagine waking up every morning feeling like you can take on the world.

How great would that feel?

Life can get difficult, and sometimes a little help from a professional therapist like myself can make things better. I care about your well-being and provide you with the tools you need to seize the day and learn how to tackle even the most traumatic circumstances.

Stacy Lim, AMFT: About Me

WHY I BECAME A THERAPIST...

I have been passionate about being able to help people and help them through different stages in their life. I appreciate the ability to be there for people when they are at their most vulnerable. I recognize people generally reach out for therapy when they're having transitions or changes in their life and this led me to seek out my role as a therapist because I knew I could make a difference through supporting clients through these moments in their lives.

CLIENTS I LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH...

I enjoy working with young adults who are motivated to do the work that therapy entails. I enjoy helping clients learn about themselves and validate their experiences. I strive to assist clients in making connections to their past to help them better understand themselves and the make smarter future choices. I like to empower clients to create strong boundaries, increase assertiveness and not only know their worth, but live their worth day to day.  I greatly thrive in supporting the BIPOC community process trauma experiences, discrimination, and prejudice. More specifically, I feel I do impactful work with first and second generation Asian-identified adult individuals. I additionally, enjoy helping couples from all backgrounds, including intercultural couples, build strong relationships and work together to growth and healing.

Top Challenges I Work Best With:

WHAT DOES STARTING THERAPY LOOK LIKE?

If you are interested in working with me, please call us at 949-329-5233 or fill in the contact form below and a representative from our office will get back to you to see if I would be a good fit for your needs.

If it is deemed we are a good fit, you will receive your intake documents through your email to be completed electronically in the client portal of our electronic health record. There will be about 6-8 pages to sign in order to begin services, including informed consent forms, intake questionnaires, demographic questionnaires, and credit card form, etc. The exact forms will depend on the treatment service and the need for counseling.

What can I expect in a first session?

During the first session, I will cover the practice policies and go over your intake questionnaires to ensure we have a good grasp for establishing treatment goals. The first session will be used to gather more information about yourself (or your relationship with your partner), your relationship with the problem at hand, and establishing clearly defined goals for treatment, as well as establish therapeutic rapport to ensure a comfortable space for your continued growth in treatment.
